To say that Salt Lake City is a worldly city would be a joke. Before it received the Olympic Games it was probably only know as the "home town" for the Mormons. At the pictures above and on the right you see the Mormon temple more or less the only place of interest.

Well, this was mine "temple". It certainly didn't look like one. This is the hostel where I stayed during the trip. 60 U$ per night for a mattress on the floor but it was the cheapest thing I could find. Luckily it looked better on the inside.

Here is a picture of the bob sleigh track. I saw the 2-women bob sleigh event and the skeleton event. Atthis venue it was better to have a cheap ticket instead of a more expensive seating ticket (well our were free so we didn't care too much).

Picture from my seat when it was snowing. When you are sitting there you are basically watching the screen the whole time so I walked around the track. One could see much more there. (see sports pictures)

Here is the Olympic Oval where all the long track speed skating took place. Although all the orange in the picture should have given that away

The venue that all the Canadians should know: the ice rink where the ice hockey took place. On the picture I am with Kristy and Ann with whom together, with Richard Koo, I visited the games.

Every venue you entered, you always had to go through security. Yes, they were pretty strict and everything went still relatively fast. I have to say that everything was very well organised.

Most of the countries has their own "house", a place for fans and athletes to meet up. Guess which of this and the next picture is the Canada House and which is the Holland House? ;-)
